Useful before you call

Before you order.

Every property is different. These are the usual starting points; we’ll confirm what applies to yours.

Why choose a steel heating oil tank?+

Steel is robust and can be fabricated to non-standard proportions, which is particularly useful where the available footprint is narrow, low or otherwise awkward.

What does “bunded” mean?+

A bunded tank has a second outer containment tank around the inner fuel tank. It is designed to contain the contents if the inner tank or its fittings leak.

Can you remove my existing tank?+

Yes. Decommissioning and removal can be included with delivery and installation of the replacement tank, subject to a site review.

Do I need exact measurements for a quote?+

No. A postcode, approximate capacity, a few photos and the rough available space are enough to begin. We can identify what needs checking before manufacture.

Do you work outside Suffolk?+

Yes. Terence Barker supplies and installs tanks nationwide from its Haverhill manufacturing base.
